Department of physics was established in the year 1966.with Mathematics, physics and chemistry (M.P.C) Subsequently Mathematics and Computer science (M.P.CS).Combination was introduced in the year 1997-1998 to meet global standards.
The Department has two fully equipped laboratories in physics. A specially designed dark room laboratory is provided for conducting optics experiments. This Department has one qualified experienced permanent Lecture; one redeployed Lecture and one contract lecture.
